First time? Start here!

We know visiting somewhere for the first time can make you feel a bit lost. Whether you go to church often or are visiting us here online for the very first time, we want to help. Here is some information to keep you in the loop during your visit.

What's it like at Good Shepherd?

Come as you are.

We don’t care what clothes you wear or what kind of shape your spiritual life is in. God meets you and loves you where you are.

Communion.

You are welcome, without exception. No need to be a member of Good Shepherd. If you are hungry and thirsty for unbounded grace, mercy, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, you are welcome at Christ’s table.

We love kids.

We think worshipping with people of all ages is very important! As such, we make space for the wiggles and noises of all ages during our services. Your kids are welcome in church too! Don’t have kids? That’s fine too! We make space for all ages to worship God together.

No impromptu introductions during worship.

When you’re visiting for the first time, no one will ask you to stand up and introduce yourself. We promise! Relax, find a good seat, and focus on worshiping God with us. We would love to know you’re here! Connect with us at the desk in the Gathering Space or fill out the form above.

Follow along and participate as you feel comfortable.

Everything you need for worship will be on the screen on in the bulletin. Sing as loud or quiet as you like (all skill levels are welcome). We’re just glad you’re here!

Coffee & Donuts are on us!

Coffee & doughnuts are available in the Gathering Space outside of worship on Sundays between services and we have a meal from 5-6pm on Wednesdays.

I’m not a Lutheran. Can I still come to church?

Yes! We welcome anyone and everyone into our family of faith regardless of denomination.

Is the building wheelchair/handicap accessible?

Yes. Our entire campus is ground level.

What are the Worship Services like?

Our Traditional 8:30am Sunday Worship is piano and/or organ led and often features a choral or instrumental group. Our Contemporary 10:30am Sunday Worship and Contemporary 6:15pm Wednesday Worship are led by the Good Shepherd Worship Band. Both Sunday services last around an hour and Wednesday’s services last around 45 minutes. Come to the service that bests fits you and your worship style.

I have small children. Is there a Nursery?

Yes! Our Nursery is volunteer staffed each Sunday morning during 10:30am worship and Wednesday night during 6:15pm worship.

I have more questions. Who can I contact?

Fill out the form at the top of this page, message us on Facebook or Instagram, give us a call or drop by during business hours to check out the church!
